In this class, you will learn to sew by exploring the parts of the sewing machine and their functions, as well as mastering basic sewing terminology and taking a trip to a fabric store. You'll have the opportunity to make four fun projects that will teach you essential sewing skills. Throughout the course, you will create an apron, a pillow sham complete with buttons and buttonholes, a throw pillow featuring a zipper, and cozy PJ bottoms with elastic.
Continue to learn to sew and enhance your sewing skills by making a lined bag with a button and buttonhole, a hoodie featuring a separating zipper, and a pre-quilted bag equipped with 2 outside pockets, webbing straps, a box bottom, and an all-purpose zipper. Please note that Beginning Sewing Level 1 is a prerequisite.
In this class, students will continue to advance their sewing skills as they learn to sew. Each student will bring a pattern, fabric, and all necessary notions to class. Janet will assist students in reading the pattern to successfully complete their project. Please note that Beginning Sewing 1 & 2 are prerequisites.
